EYEBROWS UNDRESSED

PERFECT BROWS, JUST FOR YOU

THE SECRET OF BEAUTY

Beauty is symmetry and that means proportion and balance of features. Ever heard someone complaining, “my eyes are too small, my nose is too big, my lips are too thin”? They are complaining about their eyes, nose and lip size in relation to the rest of their face. Proportions. The most important things to be in proportion and to be enhanced on our faces are eyes and eyebrows. How do we enhance & balance them? Makeup! But, interestingly enough, there is no single eyebrow shape that will look good on everyone because we all have different proportions. So how do we do this? Follow this tutorial exactly and you will learn how to get your eyebrows perfectly in proportion to YOUR eyes and other facial features while getting the maximum beauty benefit out of your eyebrows. As everyone has different features we will be using your nose as the point of reference for doing your brows to get them in perfect proportion.

BROW SHAPES

The four shapes illustrated below are the basic shapes most eyebrows would fall into, if they were virgin, untouched eyebrows. Your original, untouched brow shape will be similar to one of these. It is important to work out which shape your natural brow is closest to. Trying to get a shape that is too distant for your natural shape will not enhance your overall look. You can however thicken and define your natural shape, with make up, to excellent results. If you are not sure what your original shape was, we recommend finding a photo of yourself before you started plucking.

THE LOOKS - HOW TO

We are now going to walk you through 2 stunning eyebrow looks and how to match each of them perfectly to your unique face shape.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

Important: Before you begin, ensure your brows are oil and foundation free to ensure proper results.

NATURAL LOOK

THE PERFECT BROW

STEP 1 START POINT

Hold the brow brush to the middle of your nostril straight up against your face. Where the brush reaches the level of your brow is where your brow should start. Mark that point with some Brow Magic for reference. If your actual brow goes past this, pluck to this point, if it doesn’t reach, time to grow!

STEP 2 ARCH POINT

Now keeping your brow brush on the same place on your nostril, line up the brush with the outside of your pupil (the black bit of your eye). Like the red line in the picture. Where this line crosses your eyebrow is where your arch point should be. Again make a little mark again to give you a reference.

STEP 3 END POINT

Again holding your brow brush so it starts in the middle of your left nostril, line it up to the edge of the white of your eye. Where this line crosses your eyebrow is where the end of your eyebrow should be. Make a little mark to give you a reference. You now have your approximate start, arch & end points.

STEP 4 DEFINING THE SHAPE

Put a small amount of Brow Magic on the end of your brush and using small, soft strokes, draw a straight line underneath your brow from start point to arch point. If there is a gap between the line and your brow, you need to grow it out to reach that line

STEP 5 DEFINING THE ARCH

To create your arch, brush on another soft line underneath your eyebrow from arch point to end point. Follow the natural curve of your eyebrow.

The 2 lines you just made create the definition you need, but make sure they are soft lines as this is the natural look.

STEP 6 FILL IN ANY GAPS

Most brows have less hair at the start, which makes them uneven. Fill in the start of your brow and any gaps using a tiny bit of Brow Magic. You want to create an evencoloredanddefinedbrowandarenotmakingthe whole brow darker. If you need a darker color, apply additional layers. It will darken the more you put on.

STEP 7 BALANCING YOUR BROWS

Hold the brow brush to the middle of your nostril straight up against your face. Where the brush reaches the level of your brow is where your brow should start. Mark that point with some Brow Magic for reference. If your actual brow goes past this, pluck to this point, if it doesn’t reach, time to grow!

STEP 8 BRUSHING YOUR BROWS

Now smooth down and get your brow hairs pointing in the right place by gently brushing them in the direction of natural growth. Be careful not to brush off your make up. You could apply a brow gel at this stage to hold the hairs in place if needed.

GLAM LOOK

THE IRRESISTIBLE BROW

Now that you have your perfect, balanced and natural brows we can get some glam going on. Continue onto the next steps after finishing the natural look in steps 1 through 8 above if you want a more glamorous look.

STEP A DEFINING TOP LINE

Apply a soft line on the top of your brow from the start point to the arch point, and then a second line from the arch point to end point, (have a look at steps 1-3 above if you need to remember where your points are).

STEP B FILL IN COMPLETELY

Now fill in the eyebrow completely. Simply Brow

Magic is a buildable color and will also suit any skin or hair color so keep adding more until your desired darkness is reached. Do the other eyebrow and then make sure they are balanced, referring to step 7 above.
